Plan one platforming jump before chasing every gem
A free decision log for a focused practice session, based on the game’s documented mechanics.

Read the landing before taking off
Mayo Gems describes optional ledges, moving platforms, springboards, checkpoints, and three special stars in each level. Pick one jump and identify the intended landing, the hazard, and a place to restart. Holding jump is documented to give extra height, but a route still needs observation in the actual build. Compare the timing and landing position you intended with what happened instead of treating every missed jump as the same problem.
Separate the main route from an optional detour
The goal of reaching an exit can compete with collecting a star on a side ledge. Decide which question a practice attempt should answer before adding several risks. Note whether a checkpoint, magnet, or protective bubble changes the attempt you are comparing. The website lists controller input with hardware testing pending; a readable control list does not replace testing the device you plan to use.
Compare one decision in the build you actually use
Record the version, stage, controls, and relevant kit or resource state before comparing attempts. Change one decision when possible and write the actual response separately from your prediction. A useful practice note explains what you learned and what is still unclear. Public release availability and platform support remain as stated on the homepage; this worksheet does not launch the game, connect an account, read cloud saves, or submit a score.
Worked example
A small situation to try
Illustrative exercise: A hypothetical player first reaches a checkpoint, then studies a moving platform leading to an optional ledge. They record the platform position at takeoff and the intended landing. Their next attempt changes timing only. They do not infer that all levels or controller hardware were tested from this one observation.
